Modular clamping system ZEPo-v

v-tech’s ZEPO-v is a modular quick-change clamping system with wide application primarily in CNC machining centres. Its purpose is to streamline the production process thanks to very fast and repeatedly accurate replacement of the workpiece, jig or other equipment. It allows users to make the most of the production potential of their machine tools or entire automated production lines.

The core of the ZEPO-v clamping system consists of a unique element in the form of a NES-T pneumatic self-locking nest, whose high tensile force comes from the design and shape of the piston, which is optimized for even distribution of contact stress with emphasis on maintaining compact dimensions. The resulting application, composed of some variant of NES-T in combination with a wide range of UZV-T clamping bases and possibly other elements, covers all conceivable needs of modern metal working operation.
All parts of the ZEPO-v system are designed by our own v-tech design centre and are precisely manufactured in the Czech Republic on top-quality CNC machines. Thanks to the experience from our own production plant, they are also designed to provide meaningful and practical solutions for the end user. The fact that experience, design and production are “under one roof” predestines v-tech to create custom solutions and shift the technical solution towards greater perfection.
To verify the efficiency of using our clamps in-house, we also developed our own specialized software CNC Sensor. By its application, the user obtains valuable data on the utilization of the production centre and ultimately also on the resulting benefits of using ZEPO-v clamping systems and the return on investment

 

NES-T   Quick-change clamp

The NES-T pneumatic quick-change clamp is the cornerstone of the portfolio of v-tech clamping systems. It features compact dimensions and high clamping force, which pulls in the clamping pin. The large tensile force of the nest comes from the unique design of the clamping pneumatic piston, the shape of which is optimized for even distribution of contact stress while maintaining compact dimensions. NES-T is available with two basic diameters 135 mm and 175 mm, including a version for automatic pallet replacement in a fully automated process.

    The high pulling force of the pot is possible due to the unique design of the clamping pneumatic piston the shape of which is optimized for even distribution of the contact voltage while the compact dimensions are maintained.

    The modularity of ZEPO-v allows for various configuration methods. Together with a suitable UZV-T base, you can create countless variants, e.g. with machine vices, chucks, clamping rails and other special clamping jigs.

      Clamping base with 2 nests

      The clamping base with 2 nests is suitable for quick replacement of e.g. precision vices for CNC machining centres. With a simple and quick action, you can instantly change the clamping device, thus reducing unwanted adjustment times. The base is made of high-grade steel of the highest quality with an emphasis on precise processing. Thanks to a high clamping force of 2 × 24 kN, it can be used even in the most demanding roughing operations

      Clamping base with 4 pots

      The version of the base with 4 pots provides a compact solution for quick clamping and positioning of the mechanical vices and clamping fixtures on the tables of vertical CNC milling machines. The positioned element can be combined easily in two directions perpendicular to each other. The base can be conveniently used for machining of the larger parts, for example, plates. The arrangement variability is very wide.

      Adapter for a universal chuck

      The adapter is used for precise and rigid locating of any universal chuck on the clamping nest of dia. 135. The adapter includes a clamping pin and locking screws to secure precise positioning. Adapter is available as semi-finished product as standard for customizing your particular universal chuck. On request, it can be adjusted according to chuck of your specification.

      Clamping base with 6 pots

      The present centrepiece of our portfolio is the base with 6 clamping pots. The main advantage of the solution is the possibility to position more mechanical vices in several configurations. It can be also frequently used for the needs of series production where a clamp with workpiece is clamped in each pot. With the 90° pot indexing feature, this workpiece can be indexed in a simple manner. Application of the top quality heat treated tool steels and precision processing are the matter of course. Everything is controlled pneumatically.

      Change pin - 2° of play

      this clamping pin is used to eliminate heat dilatation of the clamp that is clamped to the base. Smaller size of the fitted diameter allows movement in two axes. This method can be conveniently applied in the applications under which high heat is generated. For example, when roughing is done without using any cooling emulsion.

      The pneumatically operated universal chuck with integrated air piston including adapter and control valve is a powerful tool for quick replacement of semi-finished products. The clamp is optionally configured along the clamping base and centred on the outer diameter of the clamping nest.       Pneumatic chuck dia. 165 is a larger alternative to dia. 110. The universal chuck with integrated air piston is seated into an aluminium exchangeable pallet including control valve and two clamping pins. To locate this pallet, at least two clamping nests with the spacing of 200 mm are required. This ensures the firm clamping important for roughing operations. The exact chuck position allows palette to be configured in any direction and locating points on clamping base. On request, the chuck can be equipped with the foot pedal or electric switchboard for remote control.

      Clamping base for automatic pallet change with 4 nests New for machining cells for unattended automatic operation. Rigid, precise and robust interface between machine tools and a robotic manipulator for automatic exchange of pallets, vices or specific fixtures. In combination with ROBOT POINT, you can turn your existing machining center into a flexible automatic cell for the production of mechanical parts. The clamping base is fitted as standard with several sensors to check the correct functionality.
